
Charles Schoen leads the Adaptive Learning Center (ALC) in Atlanta, Georgia, a preschool inclusion program for children with special needs. With a background in banking, insurance, and business, he has served on the Board for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Annual Fund and as a United Way loaned executive. As an ALC alumni parent, Charles is committed to supporting families in early childhood education and special needs advocacy.
He is also the author of the Adventures with Charlie series: Charlie Goes to School (2014), Charlie Goes to Tommy’s (2015), Charlie Goes to Waffle House (2016), Charlie Plays Baseball (2019), and Charlie and the Half-Marathon (2021), a set of five children’s books inspired by his experiences and dedication to empowering young learners and their families.
